He shares “My studio is a compact and well-lit space where everyday tools, colors, and materials form a visual system of their own. The worktable, with its pigments, mediums, and organized clutter, becomes both a practical center and a recurring motif. I often observe how these small constellations of color and order shape my painterly thinking. In my practice, painting is not only a means of interpreting the external world, but also of observing my surroundings through painterly reflection. I sometimes paint the studio itself, transforming a utilitarian scene into a quiet composition.

This allows me to step back and look at the act of painting from a distance – to see the materiality, the rituals, and the atmosphere that shape my landscapes and figures. I value the studio as a mental and visual space – it is both workplace and subject.

Through the repetition of setting up colors, mixing paint, and layering form, the studio becomes part of the image-making process, not just its backdrop.”
