Show Your Art is my first book and it is available on Amazon as an eBook and print.
The book is for the artist who is ready to step out of the studio and show their work and put it in front of an audience online and offline. It covers many of the questions I get asked all the time when artists are stuck trying to communicate their visual work in words. Starting with the artists statement and bio, the book provides helpful advice on creating written content for social media, emails and the artist’s website. Then building on this to create an audience online and preparing them for your real life events.
For too long artists have felt being repped by a gallery was the only way to exhibit or sell work. The book presents ways that the self representing artist can be empowered to take control of their own careers, recognise that having their own audience is an asset to their business, learn to communicate their ideas and show without a gallery.
I’m delighted to share that it hit the number 1 position on it’s launch 14th April 2020.
The ebook was published in April 2020 and the paperback was published in August 2020.
