“I am inspired by the raw urge to create; my recent autism diagnosis has led to an introspective collection of works addressing concepts of identity, ephemerality and crisis. Human existence fascinates me, and I find myself searching for the missing link that bridges the gaps in our concepts of existence.”

About her studio she says “It's my safe space. I struggle with hyper vigilence so it's the one place I can shut the door to and an be unapolagetically me. And the workbench my husband built me this year. It's given me a proper space to work in with storage etc. and made such a difference to my practice as I can now use the floor space for footwork and workbench for everything else. I love it!”

Emilie appeared in Issue 15 of Art Seen Magazine.
